At
last, a self-drive package designed for those clients that don’t want the
formality of traveling in a group, but still want to take advantage of the
excellent Drifters infrastructure, Inns, Game Lodge and adventure activities
throughout South Africa. This flexible package is aimed at self-drive
clients that want to explore the country concentrating on the wilderness
areas. Drifters Inns are all spectacularly located, most are far away from
the hustle and bustle of cities. The concept behind Drifters Inns is that we
are able to offer packages that visit almost all of the different
eco-systems that exist within South Africa.
Regardless of the time period you have available, Drifters in conjunction
with your agent will be able to plan the ideal itinerary for you. All
Drifters Inns are owned by Drifters, and because all of our staff are
experienced guides, you enjoy all of the advantage and independence of a
self-drive, but will still benefit from the knowledge and assistance of our
staff throughout your holiday.
On Day
1 of your tour, you will be met by Drifters and transferred to the first
Drifters Inn where experienced staff will discuss your itinerary with you in
detail. We will give you a list of telephone numbers and detailed directions
for each of the Drifters Inns on your itinerary. Early on Day 2 your
Europcar Group B car will be delivered to you and you will then make your
way to the next Drifters Inn with heaps of advice on the different routes,
sights and attractions to see along the way.
Drifters consultants will assist you and your agent with the planning of the
itinerary and will ensure distances covered are reasonable and that where
necessary two nights are booked to allow time for the local attractions to
be visited. An example of this would be two nights at Drifters Zululand Inn
so that a full day is allowed for visiting Hluhluwe\Umfolozi Game Reserve.
On the last day of your holiday you simply drop off the vehicle at the
airport before
departure.
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION
This package is designed for the more adventurous clients who do not wish to
be stuck in cities, preferring to visit more remote wilderness areas. Credit
cards are generally accepted in South Africa, BUT NOT FOR FUEL PURCHASES.
Automatic Teller Machines are, however, common. Seasonal Malaria precautions
are advised for clients visiting the Kruger and Zululand areas. Not included
in this package are Fuel deposits, One way drop off fees, Airport
Surcharges, Lunches, and Dinners except at the Drifters Game Lodge, entrance
fees, fuel, oil, drinks, and other expenses of a personal nature. Days spent
at the Drifters Game Lodge will be on a full board basis and will include
two game activities
a day
(walks or drives). Single supplement is applied for clients
traveling alone. Should four clients wish to travel together, we will
upgrade the vehicle to a M.P.V. (or similar) at no extra cost.
Included in
this package are, accommodation and meals as per the itinerary and a Group B
car from Europcar inclusive of Supercover and unlimited mileage.
A Welcome
Tourism Services staff member will meet you on arrival and will provide
detailed documentation .
Not included
are Fuel deposits, airport surcharges, meals not mentioned in the itinerary,
entrance fees, fuel, oil, drinks, and expenses of a personal nature.
